Frequently Asked Questions
The following are some common questions that are asked about the National Threshers Association and our annual reunion. For additional information, please see our Contact page.
Q: When is the NTA annual reunion?
A: The show is always the last full weekend in June. The show is four days long, Thursday through Sunday. There are limited activities on Sunday, which include sawing and threshing.
Q: How many steam engines can we expect to see at the show?
A: That depends mainly on the owners' schedules, but there are typically 40 to 50 full-size steam traction engines at each show, plus scale models.
Q: Is all of the machinery at the NTA shows in working order?
A: With few exceptions, nearly all of the machinery exhibited at the annual NTA reunion is in working condition. You'll see steam engines working a Prony brake, Baker fans, sawmill, shingle mill, running a thresher and hay press, pulling transfer sleds, threshing and running frequently throughout the exhibit area.
Q: How many gas tractors exhibit at each show?
A: This depends on the owners' schedules, but there are hundreds of gas tractors each year. This includes a wide range of makes, models and years.
